The ASSOCIATION OF GREEK JUDGES AND PUBLIC PROSECUTORS FOR THE DEMOCRACY AND THE LIBERTIES was established on the 30 of November 1988 as an initiative of its former President George Stavropoulos, former Vice President of the Council of State and former Minister, who was also one of the founder members of MEDEL since 1987.
Since its founding, 20 years ago, our association has organised a large number of interesting activities. We have participated, among others, in conferences and scientific events, and we have issued notices on several subjects concerning either the individual, political and social freedoms, or other matters that raised the awareness of the public opinion.
